Biodiversity Training Course

Training Programme Overview:
4 Week Course: 28th Feb, March 6th, March 13th, March 20th
The training courses will provide participants with a deeper knowledge of biodiversity in Ireland, the importance of biodiversity, ecosystems’ services, and an understanding of human impacts on biodiversity and the natural environment. The courses will explore individual and local sustainability measures in relation to biodiversity and encourage groups to undertake initiatives and action projects in their community.
During the hands-on training, participants will be involved in interactive activities to examine issues and concerns and explore solutions and best practise on topics such as sustainable gardening, creation of wildlife habitats and biodiversity conservation measures. The emphasis during the workshops is to inspire and examine what individuals, communities and organisations can do to make a difference.
Participants will be given training materials and resources that will enable them to develop awareness and the benefits of biodiversity and provide information for sustainable actions in the future for the local area.
